A place for
the details.

Local phrases, synthetic sound, exported files and your choices.

01

Scope of this policy

Bellowsmith is a personal melody-making app. This policy covers phrase drafts, saved editions, preferences, native sound playback and files you choose to export. It describes the implemented app, not an account or online music service. You can use the bundled core without an account. External contact apps, document providers and organization websites have their own practices.

02

Your phrases and notes

You can create phrase names, pitches, rests, beat lengths, velocities, valid ties, tempo, transposition and synthetic voice choices. Saved editions keep the fields you choose. These records belong to your local work in the app. Bellowsmith does not ask for payment details, an identity document, a contact list or a microphone recording. Avoid including unnecessary private information in phrase names or notes.

03

Local storage

Phrase drafts, saved editions and preferences are stored in Android app-private files. The native storage owner makes an atomic write before reporting that work was saved. A browser preview used during development has a separate preview store; it is not a cloud copy of the Android app. The app does not synchronize your phrases, publish them or provide remote recovery.

04

How sound is created

The app generates sound on the device from mathematical oscillators and envelopes using your phrase settings. It does not download, stream or record performers. Note durations, rests and ties determine the rendered samples. Technical waveform generation is local computation, not a request to an online AI service. Playback happens only after a user action and stops when the app leaves the foreground or loses audio focus.

05

Permissions and device audio

The Android app has no Internet permission and does not request microphone, location, camera, contacts or broad storage access. Native audio output uses Android’s media audio controls and focus handling. The app does not capture sound from your surroundings. Device volume and output routing remain under Android and your control. A numerical sample limit does not guarantee a particular sound level at your ears.

06

Contact handoffs

Email, phone and website actions open an external composer, dialer or browser for the supplied Allegretto contact. They do not send automatically, place a call automatically or attach phrase data. Opening another app does not establish receipt of a request. Any information you add or send outside Bellowsmith follows that application’s and recipient’s practices.

07

Exporting audio and project files

A WAV export is rendered from the selected phrase by the same native audio engine used for playback, then saved through Android’s document picker. Text or project exports contain the selected phrase fields. Review what you are exporting before sharing it. A provider chosen in the picker may synchronize files under its own settings. Cancelling the picker leaves your phrase available inside the app.

08

Backup and transfer

The app disables Android automatic cloud backup and device-to-device transfer for its private data configuration. It offers no account-based recovery. Keep any exports you need somewhere you control. Device-management tools, operating-system behavior and manually made backups can have effects outside the app. Exported audio and project files can remain after the app’s local records are removed.

09

Diagnostics

Bellowsmith has no advertising, analytics, tracking or network crash-reporting SDK. It does not send a listening history, phrase data or an audio file to a backend. Android can produce its own diagnostics under device settings. When reporting a problem, consider whether a screenshot, phrase name or exported file contains information you would prefer not to share.

10

Content and production artwork

Original phrase sketches and artwork are bundled with the app. They are starting material for your own editing, not a claim that a performer or organization recorded a piece. Images generated during production are not runtime AI: Bellowsmith does not upload your work for image generation. Third-party platform libraries support the app’s local operation; their presence is not a claim of ownership of your composition.

11

Retention

Local drafts, editions and preferences stay until you edit or delete them, clear the app’s data or uninstall. The app does not automatically expire saved editions. Temporary sound buffers are released when playback stops or the app leaves the foreground. Exports are separate files under the destination you chose. If stored data cannot be read, it is retained for explicit recovery instead of silently replaced.

12

Deletion

Removing a saved edition deletes that local record after confirmation. It does not delete audio or project files you exported, recall an email or remove a copy from another application. Clearing Android app data or uninstalling can remove app-private work. Before doing so, export any work you want to keep. No organization booking or account is cancelled by deleting a phrase.

13

Security

The app uses private storage and limited native interfaces. These protections are not a claim that your phrase data is encrypted. Device access, lock-screen settings, operating-system maintenance and export destinations affect privacy. Someone with access to an unlocked device may see local editions. Keep exported audio or project files in locations appropriate for their contents.

14

Younger users and shared devices

Bellowsmith is a general creative instrument and does not create children’s accounts or operate an online collection service. On a shared device, consider which names or personal notes you save. A parent or guardian can help a younger user decide what to store and export. The app does not verify age, identity, artistic ownership or an organization relationship.

15

Your choices

You control Play and Stop, phrase edits, saved versions, reduced motion and export destinations. Changing notes stops the earlier sound rather than leaving a different phrase playing. A saved edition is a local state; it does not mean that anything was published or reviewed by another person. You can cancel an export or contact handoff and return to the same local work.

16

Websites

The prepared companion website is static and contains no advertising or analytics scripts. Reading a local copy does not require hosting. If published, the selected web host may process ordinary technical request data under its own deployment practices. Organization websites reached through contact actions are separate services. Their content and data flows are not controlled by Bellowsmith’s local phrase store.

17

Policy changes

This policy is dated 27 October 2026 for Bellowsmith version 1.0.0. A future feature or data-flow change may require a new policy. Read the policy included with the version you use. The existence of a local build or this text does not establish organization endorsement, public publication or app-store acceptance. Compatible updates should preserve your existing phrase records.
